SEPAC is independently governed by a board of leaders elected by parents and caregivers in Arlington. We are committed to serving all students in Arlington who learn differently or have a disability.
While each district in Massachusetts is required to have a SEPAC, we are independently governed by a board of leaders elected by parents and caregivers in Arlington. We welcome any members of the community interested in issues that relate to Special Education, regardless of whether or not they have children with a formal diagnosis.
Arlington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a parent group that acts as a resource for parents and advises the district regarding meeting the needs of students with disabilities. We provide support and networking opportunities for parents and guardians of children with disabilities, and offer workshops and guest speakers to help parents become better informed about special education issues. We meet regularly with school officials to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of special education programs in town.
